Members should comply with all Carolina Pool Management (CPM) Company instructions while on pool premises. Member safety is a priority.
BWE is a family pool. Appropriate attire, language and behavior are expected at all times.
All swimmers should shower before entering the pool.
Changing of clothing and diapers should be confined to the restrooms.
Children wearing diapers must wear rubber pants under their bathing suits. Pool Management Company is to be notified immediately if the rubber pants fail.
Individuals with an open wound, inflamed eyes, or other infection are not permitted to swim.
Skateboards, roller blades and bicycles should not be utilized in the pool area.
Running, pushing, wrestling and other rough activity is not allowed in the pool area.
Animals, with the exception of service animals, are not allowed in the pool or pool area.
There will be a 10 minute adult swim every hour. Age 16 and over is considered an adult.
The baby pool is not manned by a lifeguard and is reserved for children who cannot swim. Parents must accompany a child that is in the baby pool.
Children under the age of 10 should be supervised by an adult or responsible person 14 years or older. They may not be at the pool alone.
Persons entering the pool after closing are trespassing and subject to arrest and prosecution.
DIVING BOARD/WELL RULES
One person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
After entering the pool from the diving board, each swimmer should quickly move towards the wall or stairs.
When the diving board is in use, swimmers using the diving well must stay clear of the board.
The diving board will be closed intermittently for patrons to use the diving well for other games (such as Cross Pool / Sharks & Minnows).
Swimmers playing Cross Pool / Sharks & Minnows must start in the water and not dive from the side of the pool.
There are no flotation devices allowed in the deep end and there are no exceptions to this rule.
Chaise lounges, table chairs and tables are available on a first come, first served basis. Pool furniture shall not be permitted to leave the pool facility or allowed in the pool.
Trash should be removed at the end of each visit.
Pump Room is for lifeguard use only.
Facilities other than the pool itself, e.g., play equipment, parking lot, are not monitored. Use of those facilities is at one's own risk.
Only authorized personnel are allowed to be in the snack bar.
Park only in parking lot or tennis court. No parking on grass.
An adult must actively supervise children using swim floaties/water wings in the pool.
Jumping on kick boards or floatation devices from the side of the pool is not allowed.
FOOD AND DRINK
Smoking, chewing gum, and glass containers are not allowed on pool premises.
Food is not permitted in the pool or around the pool edge (including the pool steps).
All guests must be accompanied by a member. Members are responsible for informing their guests of pool rules.
Guest fees are $5 per person/per day. Out of town (out of county) guests may visit at no charge.
Babysitters supervising member's children are not charged a guest fee, but need to sign in under the member's name.
Non-Adult (age under 16) members can bring no more than 2 guests at a time.
Adult (age 16+) guests may visit the pool a total of 3 times over the course of the pool season.
Non-Adult (age under 16) guests may visit the pool a total of 10 times over the course of the pool season, unless approved by the Board of Directors.
Extenuating circumstances may be presented to the Board for exception consideration.
